Hello, my name is Tom Kreller, and I am proud
to be “Your” Insurance Agent.
My own personal experience in sales stems back to 1980 when
I went to a start-up electronic component distributor to work
as a trainee. Unfortunately, I had a bad example that I was
trying to emulate and it almost ran me out of the business
due to conflict with my conscience. I quickly made the decision
to do it my own way, which was to just be myself and treat
customers with respect and honesty. The net results were fantastic
and within two years I was promoted to Vice President of Sales
and became a minority owner of the business. Within 5 years
we built the company to an annual sales rate in excess of
5 million dollars. In 1985 I made the decision to move my
family to Austin TX as my children were becoming of school
age and I continue to believe that central TX is a great place
for children to grow up. I spent the next 13 years in the
electronic component industry in the capacity of Manufacturer’s
Representative, Regional Sales Manager and finally National
Sales Manager. I retired in the spring of 1998 and enjoyed
being home with my children as they completed high school.
I became much more active than I anticipated with a small
ranch in Oklahoma that has been in my wife’s family
for three generations.
My journey with Farmers Insurance began in the fall of 2005
with a phone call from my oldest son Scott who had recently
been discharged from the Marine Corp and was beginning a career
as a Farmer’s agent in San Diego. We discussed several
possibilities of him and his family returning to Texas and
decided to build an agency together in Georgetown. I purchased
the Victorian house that is our office and we went to work
building our agency with the primary focus being our customers,
their needs, and providing them with the best coverage for
their hard earned insurance dollar. We have made great progress
to this end and have made many new friends/clients in the
process. Scott has been recalled to serve in the United States
Marine Corp in Afghanistan starting in early February 2007.
We shall truly miss him every day, yet we are very proud of
him and his service to our country. Please keep him and all
our service men and women in your thoughts and prayers. We
assure you that we will strive to continue building our agency
on the principle of putting our customer’s best interest
first and foremost. |
